In a bid to cripple each other’s communications and spy capabilities, Earth’s superpowers launched the Satellite Wars, leading to the destruction of nearly every orbital object in Earth’s gravity well. Kessler Syndrome became a reality, effectively cutting off major traffic between Earth and its colonies on Mars and the Moon. Small, single-pilot ships called Kessler Haulers are launched to clear the debris.
